A jacked-up version of the Down Sweater, the Hi-Loft Down Sweater from Patagonia stuffs more premium 800-fill European goose down into a ripstop shell for puffed-up, bomber warmth. Large channels hold the goose down close while the polyester ripstop shell coated with a Deluge DWR sheds precip, blocks the wind, and resists tears and abrasion. At a mere 11.8 ounces, this jacket can join you on every outdoor adventure.

I love this jacket. It's a perfect fit and is sooooooooooo warm. I wish they'd do a diamond pattern for their down jackets. That would be cool! I feel like a space man wearing this one. "Danger, Will Robinson!"

    The HL Sweater has kept me warm while sitting still for long periods in single digit weather. You just can't get a better warmth to weight ratio in a jacket than this. Perfect, tailored fit in a size medium for my trim 6' frame. Compresses down into a tiny package that leaves plenty of room in my pack for everything else. The shell fabric is surprisingly durable given how silky-soft it feels. Highly recommended for alpine climbing/touring, winter backpacking, or anything else when it's really cold.
